Update

All my photos have disappeared from the site as I lost my domain name due to some mix up with my domain name register. I have therefore registered a new domain name with a different domain register who has both a telephone number and an address who can easily be contacted by so at some point I will be uploading all my photos there and changing links.

I am busy doing an OU course and working. I have been suffering bad cold for the past through months but luckily it’s winter so there is not much to do in the garden anyway.

I have good news that I now have my brother’s garden to grow veg in so I don’t have to worry about foxes and squirrels digging the stuff up. All I need to do now is get one of my nephews who has agreed to help me with the project to dig the garden up.

I have now ordered some seeds and the next month I will be sowing them.

I am now writing a list of 100 things I want to achieve in 1001 days. I’ve only got up to 16.

Lawn and foxes

September 25, 2008 by smallgarden7

On Saturday morning I returfed parts of my lawn, and after running out of turf I went and brought some more which I left rolled up in the garden. On Sunday morning I woke up to find the turf moved and a massive bite in the new piece of turf I brought. So I put the turf back and turfed the place that needed it. Then I watered the turf and sprinkled chilli powder all over my garden. I also found some shit over the pansies I brought.

Yesterday I reapplied the chilli powder making sure I put it on the paved bit and on the pansies and violas I brought. This morning I went into the garden there I found 2 lavender cuttings with lumps off soil dug out and over turned.

It seems the fox like the squirrels doesn’t like chilli but hasn’t learnt to leave it alone stuff covered in it alone yet. Oh and for all those who think it’s cruel to deter animals with chilli then you’ve probably never had to put up with them repeatedly shitting all over your garden which young children wander in and visit and digging up the roots of your plants killing them off.
