I finally found Bark Mulch I can carry.
After reading up on gardening I noticed that every single article or book I read advised using mulch to help to retain moisture in the soil around the plants, and bark mulch was a good one. So I’ve been off to various DIY stores and a garden centre, and discovered that bark mulch bags are a minimum of 100 litres. As I cannot carry 100 litres I have had to leave it.
Finally I searched for a garden centre and found this one-Garden Care Supplies . I noticed that they offered things in various size bags. So this afternoon I drove to the store and found 80 litre bags of bark mulch. With a bit more looking I discovered 75 litre bags of bark mulch so I brought 3.
Now I have succesfully mulched around my red hot pokers and a few other plants.
